... A farm that really deserves the “hereditary farm” denomination.
The Oberschererhof has been in the possession of our family and ancestors for about 250 years. Considering this long period of time, this continuity shows our love for nature and appreciation of nature that we want to preserve. Whereas our ancestors lived on breeding cattle, agriculture and viticulture, today we dedicate ourselves with specialist knowledge to our great passion, apple production including the production of apple juice, and to viticulture, of course. We are thus proud to offer our wines for tastings.
We rebuilt, extended and modernized the Oberschererhof in the course of years to meet the needs of our guests and to make it a feast for the eyes.
Thanks to much diligence and an intensive cooperation we managed to preserve the traditional charm of the Oberschererhof and to bring it to new life with great sensitivity and love for detail.
The Lamprecht family, my ancestors on my mother's side, has continuously owned the Oberschererhof since 1777. We are thus proud of the “hereditary farm” denomination. The Oberschererhof was first mentioned in a document in 1592. Our ancestors had to work very hard.
They mainly grew grapes on the slopes, practiced agriculture and raised cattle. The Vernaccia grape was and still is the typical grape on our slopes grown on pergolas. Fruit production started in the 1950s and is our main activity today. This is why we attach great importance to preserving our nature. Despite family and children my grandparents started a B&B with two rooms in the late 50s.
In the course of years, we rebuilt, extended and modernized our farm and managed to preserve the traditional charm of the Oberschererhof thanks to much diligence and an intensive cooperation.
